  1. What is the Joomla-Directory?
    We are an internet directory encompassing Joomla where the best Joomla sites on the web are categorized and voted for by the Joomla community.
  2. Who is the community?
    They are everyone and anyone who loves Joomla and wants to participate in rating, submitting, and reviewing Joomla based sites.
  3. How do I submit a site?
    Navigate to the category, then sub-category, then sub-sub-category where that site would fit best and at the bottom of the page there is a submission form. If you think we should add a category please email us.
  4. Are the ratings weighted?
    Yes they are weighted utilizing Bayes Theorem. We are constantly tweaking the ratings to make them better for our users.
  5. Can I vote for a site more than once?
    No, but you can change your vote, just click a different star than originally clicked and your vote will be changed.
  6. What if I sign up with multiple emails and vote more than once?
    If you are voting for the same site with multiple emails you are effectively destroying the integrity of the system. When it is found out, you will, unfortunately, be banned along with any sites that you have submitted or have tried to game. Sorry if that is harsh but it is necessary to keep the rankings honest.
  7. I submitted a site but it has not been added.
    It may be waiting to get reviewed by an editor. Although if your site is under construction, updated rarely, or does not get much traffic then it may be difficult to get accepted since we are trying to keep the quality of sites the absolute best. We take much consideration, however, if you are a regular contributor to Joomla-Directory and you have rated and reviewed sites already in the directory.
  8. Are certain sites not accepted?
    Yes, any site that is not related to Joomla, is overly offensive, pornographic, a mirror (copy of another site), or solely for marketing will not be accepted in the directory. Again, we want to have the best quality for our users.
